Wigan road closures: six for motorists to contend with over the next fortnight

Wigan's motorists are being alerted to six road closures on the National Highways network in the next two weeks.

M6, until 6am March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 both directions junctions 27 to 26 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.

A580, until 6am April 1, moderate delays (10 to 30 minutes): M6 north and southbound, junctions 21a to 26 - lane closures and carriageway closures due to improvement works.

M6, from 9pm March 28 to 5am March 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound, junctions 26 to 27 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

M6, from 8pm April 2 to 6am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 southbound, junctions 28 to 27 - lane closure for electrical works.

M6, from 9pm April 2 to 6am April 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 both directions junctions 27 to 26 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.

M6, from 8pm April 8 to 6am April 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound, junctions 26 to 27 - lane closures and hard shoulder running for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
