Brewing up proved to be the perfect way to raise money for a charity supporting people with cancer and their families.
Susan Rigby decided to hold a coffee morning in her garden in Marus Bridge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
She invited friends, relatives and members of Chatter Cats – a ladies’ friendship group she runs at Wigan Library – to pop along for a hot drink and a cake.
The fund-raiser proved to be a big success, with more than £200 raised for the charity.
