Fire service called to deliberate grass fire

A grass fire is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Atherton were called to the blaze which covered 25 square metres in Westleigh at around 1.30pm today (February 13).

Crews using beaters put out the fire off Westleigh Lane in around 20 minutes.

A spokesman said it was believed to be arson.
