Wigan prison inmate confesses to attack

An inmate was due to be sentenced this week after finally admitting to a vicious attack at Hindley Prison.

Wayne Jones had appeared before a Bolton Crown Court to deny causing Nathan Powell grievous bodily harm on April 23 2019. But the 32-year-old, currently of HMP Berwyn, Wrexham, has changed his plea.
