A Wigan man has appeared in court accused of threatening a woman with a machete on Christmas Eve.

The incident is alleged to have happened on Greenhey, Orrell.

Gary Tarbuck, 35, of Valiant Road, Marsh Green, was remanded in custody until a hearing at Manchester City Magistrates' Court on January 3.
