Man admits break-in at Wigan Thai restaurant

A Wigan man has admitted to trespassing in a town centre restaurant with the intent to steal.

Sean Chaplin of Wesley Street in Pemberton appeared at Wigan Magistrates’ Court accused of breaking into “Simply Thai” restaurant on Mesnes Street.

The 36-year-old, represented by Nick Lloyd of One Legal, admitted the charges on October 5.

He has been given unconditional bail and will be sentenced on October 12.

In the meantime, probation workers will interview Chaplin to prepare a pre-setence report for magistrates.
