A man who drunkenly attacked a woman twice in one day and smashed one of her windows has been given a community order.

Jonathon Cadman, 48, of Sycamore Grove, Beech Hill, appeared before Wigan magistrates to plead guilty to two counts of assault by beating and one of causing £100 in criminal damage, all on May 21.

He was given a six-month alcohol treatment order and must complete 25 days of rehabilitation activities. Compensation, a fine, courts costs and a victim services surcharge took his bill to £450 and the court also imposed a restraining order preventing him from contacting or approaching the victim, nor going to her come in Comet Road, Marsh Green.
