A drink-driver has 100 hours’ unpaid work to carry out and a six-month road ban to serve after he was caught when three times the limit.

Martin Garside gave a reading of 109 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath (the legal limit is 35) when a Mitsubishi Colt was stopped on Orrell Road, Orrell, on March 11, Wigan justices heard.

He must pay £180 to victim services and the court.
