Armed robbers threaten staff with metal tools at McColl's shop

They entered McColl's in Newton Road in Lowton and threatened staff.
Then the thugs took some goods from the store and escaped in a small blue vehicle.

Hide AdThe terrifying robbery last night (February 11) has sparked a police appeal to help catch the offenders.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) Leigh, Atherton and Hindley district, said: "McColls shop on Newton Road was subject to a robbery last night.
"Thankfully no one was hurt but the offenders were armed with a metal tools and made threats towards the staff. They have taken stock and made off in a small blue vehicle.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
