Abduction charges dropped but two still face driving offences

Two people who were accused of abduction have had the charges dropped by prosecutors.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have confirmed the man and woman, who were arrested last week, will no longer face that accusation in court.

However, the duo are still likely to end up before magistrates as they are accused of a number of driving offences.

The arrests were publicised on social media by the Golborne and Lowton neighbourhood policing team.
