There is an extensive support network at college including a welfare team, learning assistants and personal tutors who look after students during their two years at college, updating parents on progress. There’s also the nurture room, which is a calming workspace, and Rocky, the therapy labradoodle, is a very popular member of staff.

Beyond the classroom there is a huge range of clubs and societies to make college a rounded and rewarding experience. There’s a debating club, an active LGBTQ+ society, debating society, Oxbridge group, and an extensive programme to support those hoping to go into medicine, dentistry or veterinary sciences. And, of course, there’s also a range of fun activities from sports and gaming to colouring club!

Every department organises trips and visits. This summer students travellen to Ghana and Sri Lanka to take part in charity work.

Looking ahead to future employment, the Careers Hub has hit all eight Gatsby benchmarks for good advice, and the careers adviser and work experience co-ordinator will help students focus on achieving their goals. There’s help for writing and building up your CV, and visits and workshops from former students now working for prestigious employers.
